I love this website called Stuff White People Like, I feel stupid I did not know about it until recently. Because being a 'white person' of course obligates me to laugh at how 'white' white people can be. But this particular story really caught my eye because damn if it is not 100% true and the exact bullshit justifications I get from all you bastard leaking bloggers who think they can justify giving away ENTIRE albums of my broke ass, hard working bands who actually DO see the money from their album sales so to all you doing this thinking it's okay to just give it away whithout asking for FREE, it's not ok, so FUCK YOU and stop! because your killing bands that deserve your money! I mean your not blogging about the new Hoobastank with a full free torrent, no your recommending some small, underground awesome band that would be so much better suited getting your "help" by you writing about them and recommending them to people to go and buy their record! Heck host a track or two, or point them to the bands site or myspace where the person can for FREE hear songs - but for god sakes STOP giving away albums in their entirety for free on your fucking blogs!
and to all you bloggers that do just "review" albums with links THANK YOU, you are the true music lovers

if you have such awesome bands, you should tell them that selling records for a living is gone. you can't try to fight the internet, dummy, doesn't matter if you thinks tha's wrong. your bands need to TOUR! put them on the road playing for ticket money and selling some tshirts, you'll see how they will grow as a band AND get to pay the bills from it. i'm telling you, if it works in brazil then it'll work everywhere. cheers.
